Terra cotta sonata
Saturday, June 16, 2007 - 20 Seats Maximum, 16 available
reservations required by May 16th

1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Workshop Overview:
We’ll talk a bit about the elements of design in England during the rise of cottage gardens, then let loose as we put those elements to use and decorate our own whimsical terra cotta pots. Lollygag on the lawn and get lost in the fun of creating as we listen to the sounds of Lana’s The Little House Baby Grand Piano. Go home with a stack of pots, suitable for filling with a bounty of plants or decorating an interior.  Your experience will include your art work created in the workshop, and materials to take home to work independently, if desired. Exquisite desserts and world class tea included for your enjoyment during the workshop.

Fee:  $64 per person plus 8% tax

Reservations: Reservations accepted until May 16 2007.  Non refundable prepayment required by May 16, 2007.
Space is limited to 20 guests.  Call 716-965-2798 or Email Lana for reservations and directions.

After the Workshop - Shop: At the close of the 3 hour workshop event, enjoy shopping in the “little” Gift Shop for exquisite teas, memorable scones and more. Also, Lana’s Cottage Tour is available by advance special request for an additional fee, if desired.

About the Workshop Presenter:

Sara Baker Michalak's joint interests in nature and art merge in the workshops and other programs she offers.  Her presentations encourage each of us to celebrate our region's natural diversity while fostering our own connection with nature. Sara has exhibited her artworks widely, and is an art instructor for individuals with developmental disabilities. She writes and publishes essays and articles about the natural world, specializing in wildflowers native to the region.
